Founded by Pierre and Alix in Montpellier, Maison Cédrat explores the Mediterranean not as a geographical location, but as a luminous emotion.

Their creations - lighting, objects and textiles — convey this feeling of a suspended horizon, combining terracotta, washi paper and sculptural forms. The Aura collection, presented for the first time this year, is an ode to the gentle warmth of sunset. The Lumia lamp, with its monolithic presence, combines the roughness of handmade brick with the finesse of paper. By day, it becomes a sculpture; by night, it becomes a halo.

Suspended, Nova evokes a forgotten tower bathed in sunlight. Its paper crown captures the light like a dense cloud, diffusing it gently. Without succumbing to the logic of pure function, Maison Cédrat’s pieces create atmospheres. They capture moments: the passage of a ray of light, the shadow on a stone, the warmth of a place. Their approach is rooted in local and sustainable craftsmanship, working closely with a brickworks and a paper manufacturer in the south of France. •
