ATELIER TISON
The Atelier Tison stands out in the creation of contemporary furniture and sculptures by highlighting a perfect mastery of brass.
Victor Tison, a former sheet metal worker, has brilliantly adapted traditional metalworking techniques to design unique pieces bridging the gap between tradition and modernity.
The brass – a naturally premium material – is carefully hammered, folded, rolled and polished to breathe life into fluid and organic shapes. Each creation, with its impeccable finishing details, reflects and captures light, thereby transforming the spaces it inhabits. By bringing together traditional know-how and innovation, the Atelier Tison is redefining the contours of contemporary furniture with bold elegance. •
JONATHAN AUSSERESSE
Jonathan Ausseresse discovered the art of glass in his father’s stained glass window workshop, where he stained his own glass. Fascinated by the different techniques used, he threw himself into this craft and created enamelled glass pieces with a personal perspective. He designs his pieces of art using layers and strata, creating unique volumes and bright atmospheres. With the “Fluence” collection, Jonathan Ausseresse is focusing on the movement of molten glass, which he designs and graphically transcribes in the body of the glass itself. With its volcanic rock base, the creation offers a virtuoso description of the different states of matter, from liquid to molten to hardened matter. Presented at the show, a large-scale version in amber tones highlights this hereditary know-how that Jonathan Ausseresse continues to experiment with and perfect. •
